Ingredients

  • 16 oz. pkg. bran flake cereal
  • 5 c. all-purpose flour
  • 5 tsp. salt
  • 5 tsp. baking soda
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1 c. oil
  • 4 c. buttermilk

Instructions

  1. Mix together cereal, flour, salt, baking soda, and sugar in a large bowl.
  2. Add eggs, oil, and buttermilk; stir well until combined.
  3. Fill greased muffin cups 2/3 full with the batter.
  4. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
