Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 medium apple, peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped black walnuts or walnuts
  • 1/2 cup raisins

Instructions

  1. In a 12-cup mixing bowl, beat butter with an electric mixer on medium speed about 30 seconds.
  2. Add half of the flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, baking soda, vanilla, and salt.
  3. Beat until thoroughly combined.
  4. Beat in remaining flour.
  5. Stir in oats, chopped apple, black walnuts, and raisins.
