Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 2 cups chopped apples
  • 3/4 cup chopped dried cranberries
  • 1/4 cup butter or oleo
  • 3 tablespoons raw oatmeal
  • 1/4 cup chopped almonds
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, brown sugar, and baking soda in one bowl.
  2. In another bowl, beat egg, plain yogurt, and oil together.
  3. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients until just mixed.
  4. Fold in chopped apples and chopped dried cranberries.
  5. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, raw oatmeal, chopped almonds, and cinnamon.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the baking pan, then place the topping mixture on top of each.
  7. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 25 minutes until golden and cooked through.
