Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 2 c. uncooked long grain white rice
  • 2 tsp. Lea & Perrins Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 c. pine nuts
  • 1/2 tsp. ground allspice
  • 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 2 (10.5 oz.) cans condensed beef broth
  • 2 1/2 c. water
  • 1/4 c. raisins

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt butter.
  2. Add rice and pine nuts. Fry, stirring constantly, until rice and nuts are golden, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, ground allspice, ground nutmeg, ground cinnamon, condensed beef broth, water, and raisins.
  4. Bring to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, about 20 to 25 minutes.
  5. If too moist, uncover for last 5 minutes of cooking.
