Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped green pepper
  • 15.5 oz jar Prego spaghetti sauce
  • 1 large can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 8 oz cooked and drained spaghetti
  • 1/3 cup Romano cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup Ricotta cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook ground beef, chopped onion, and chopped green pepper in a large skillet over medium-high heat until the meat is browned, stirring to separate the meat. Drain the fat.
  2. Stir in the spaghetti sauce and tomato sauce; mix well.
  3. In a large bowl, combine cooked spaghetti, Romano cheese, beaten eggs, and butter; mix well.
  4. Spread the spaghetti mixture in the bottom of a 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
  5. Spread Ricotta cheese over the top of the spaghetti layer.
  6. Pour the sauce mixture over the Ricotta cheese layer.
  7. Sprinkle shredded Mozzarella cheese over the top.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F until the cheese melts and is bubbly, approximately 20 minutes.
