Ingredients

  • 2 slices bread
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 can cream of celery soup
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup catsup
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon mustard

Instructions

  1. Soak the bread slices in milk until soft.
  2. Add ground beef, eggs, chopped onion, salt, pepper, and cream of celery soup to the soaked bread and mix thoroughly.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
  4. Combine brown sugar, catsup, nutmeg, and mustard to make the glaze.
  5. Spread the glaze over the top of the meat loaf.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour until cooked through and glazed.
