Tips & Substitutions

For added flavor, consider using a mix of different apple varieties for a more complex taste profile. If you don’t have sliced almonds, walnuts or pecans can be excellent alternatives. For a gluten-free version, substitute rolled oats with gluten-free oats. Ensure the apples are firm to maintain their shape during baking, and feel free to adjust the spices according to your preference.

Serving Suggestions

These baked apple wedges are delightful served warm, perhaps topped with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream. They also pair beautifully with a drizzle of caramel sauce. For a cozy brunch, serve alongside Easy Raspberry Cream or enjoy as a sweet ending to an autumn meal. They can also be a delicious addition to a breakfast spread.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. To reheat, place the apple wedges in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes until warmed through. This helps retain the crispiness of the topping while reviving the flavors.
