Ingredients

  • 6 pork chops
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. cooking oil
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 4 1/2 c. bread cubes
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp. celery salt
  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 3 medium potatoes
  • 1 can cream of mushroom or chicken soup

Instructions

  1. Season pork chops with salt and pepper.
  2. Brown pork chops in 1 tablespoon of hot oil in a skillet.
  3. Remove from skillet and place in a baking dish.
  4. Saute onion and celery in margarine in a small skillet.
  5. Combine bread cubes, poultry seasoning, celery salt, and 1/4 cup water; mix lightly.
  6. Shape the dressing into mounds on top of the pork chops.
  7. Coat potatoes with oil and place around the chops in the baking dish.
  8. Combine soup and 1/2 cup water; pour over the potatoes and pork chops.
  9. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour, or until the meat is tender.
