Ingredients

  • 8 oz. fresh green beans
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 medium carrots
  • 8 oz. fresh mushrooms
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring 1 inch of water to a boil in a 2-quart saucepan. Add green beans and carrots, then cook until almost tender, about 12 minutes. Drain.
  2. In a 10-inch skillet, cook onions and mushrooms over medium heat in 1 inch of water and butter until almost tender, about 5 minutes.
  3. Reduce heat, cover, and cook for an additional 3 minutes.
  4. Stir in the cooked beans, carrots, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Cover and cook for another 5 minutes before serving.
