Instructions
- Bring 1 inch of water to a boil in a 2-quart saucepan. Add green beans and carrots, then cook until almost tender, about 12 minutes. Drain.
- In a 10-inch skillet, cook onions and mushrooms over medium heat in 1 inch of water and butter until almost tender, about 5 minutes.
- Reduce heat, cover, and cook for an additional 3 minutes.
- Stir in the cooked beans, carrots, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Cover and cook for another 5 minutes before serving.
