Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 6 slices bacon, cut in 1-inch pieces
  • 1 (16 oz.) can garbanzo beans, drained
  • 1 (10 oz.) package frozen lima beans
  • 1 (8 oz.) can pork and beans in tomato sauce
  • 1 (8 oz.) can red kidney beans, drained
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup catsup
  • 1/4 cup vinegar

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook onion and bacon until bacon is crisp and onion is tender, but not brown.
  2. Drain the skillet mixture.
  3. In a 1 1/2-quart casserole, combine the onion and bacon mixture, garbanzo beans, lima beans, pork and beans, kidney beans, brown sugar, catsup, and vinegar.
  4. Bake, covered, in a 375°F (190°C) oven for 1 hour.
  5. Uncover and cook for an additional 10 minutes or until desired consistency.
