Golden fried beef foldovers feature seasoned ground beef enclosed in flaky biscuits, perfect for a quick, savory snack or appetizer for gatherings and casual meals.

Ingredients

  • 2 (8 oz.) cans refrigerated biscuits
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1/4 cup green pepper
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon oregano

Instructions

  1. Separate the biscuit dough and pat each out on a floured surface to a 5-inch circle.
  2. In a skillet, brown ground beef with chopped onion, green pepper, salt, pepper, and oregano until cooked through.
  3. Place a heaping tablespoon of the meat mixture on each biscuit circle.
  4. Fold the biscuit over the filling to form a half-moon shape and seal the edges with a fork.
  5. Deep fry the folded biscuits until they are golden brown.
  6. Drain on paper towels before serving.
