Beef-Oregano Casserole

Ingredients

  • 2 lb. beef, cut into cubes
  • 16 oz. pkg. noodles
  • 1 c. mushrooms (use liquid)
  • 1 c. mushroom soup
  • 1 c. onion soup
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 2 Tbsp. onion flakes
  • 1 1/4 tsp. oregano
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 2 bouillon cubes
  • 3/4 c. cracker crumbs

Instructions

  1. Cook the beef cubes, saving the juice.
  2. Cook the noodles in water with bouillon cubes until most of the liquid is absorbed; do not drain.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the cooked beef, mushroom soup, milk, onion flakes, oregano, pepper, salt, and 1 tablespoon of margarine.
  4. Pour the mixture into a large buttered casserole dish.
  5. Sprinkle cracker crumbs evenly on top.
  6. Add a little milk if needed to moisten the crumbs.
  7. Cover with foil and bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
  8. Remove foil and bake uncovered for an additional 10 minutes.
