Beef Oriental
A savory beef and vegetable casserole with tender bean sprouts and creamy soups, baked to perfection, suitable for family dinners and those craving comforting, flavorful dishes.
Ingredients
- 2 onions, finely chopped ⓘ
- 1/2 cup water ⓘ
- 1 cup celery, finely chopped ⓘ
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup ⓘ
- 1/4 cup soy sauce ⓘ
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper ⓘ
- 1 pound can bean sprouts ⓘ
- 1 can Chinese noodles ⓘ
- 1 pound ground beef ⓘ
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup regular rice (uncooked) ⓘ
- 1 can cream of chicken soup ⓘ
Instructions
- Brown the onions and celery in butter.
- Add the rice and ground beef and brown.
- Combine the cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, water, soy sauce, and pepper in a 2-quart casserole dish.
- Add the browned beef and vegetable mixture to the casserole dish and mix well.
- Lightly stir in the bean sprouts.
- Cover and bake for 30 minutes.
- Uncover and bake for an additional 20 minutes.
- Serve with Chinese noodles and soy sauce.
