Ingredients

  • 2 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 1/2 c. chopped onions
  • 2 cans tomato soup
  • 1/3 c. chopped green pepper
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 8 oz. sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 8 oz. noodles
  • 1 1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
  • 3 Tbsp. melted butter

Instructions

  1. Cook and drain noodles.
  2. Brown beef with chopped onions and drain fat.
  3. Add tomato soup, chopped green pepper, sugar, salt, and water to the beef mixture and mix well.
  4. Stir in cooked noodles.
  5. Stir in shredded sharp Cheddar cheese.
  6. Put the mixture into a lightly greased casserole dish.
  7. Sprinkle with soft bread crumbs mixed with melted butter.
  8. Bake until bubbly and golden on top.
