Beef Vinnie combines tender cubed steak with aromatic herbs and rich Marsala wine, creating a flavorful dish perfect for casual dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 lb. lean cubed or sirloin round steak
  • 1 clove chopped garlic
  • 1/8 tsp. crumbled rosemary leaves
  • 1/4 tsp. basil leaves
  • dash of ground oregano
  • 1/3 cup Marsala cooking wine
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Lea & Perrins Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Quickly brown cubed or sirloin steak in 1 tablespoon olive oil. Add garlic during last 30 seconds of browning.
  2. Add liquid ingredients and seasonings. Simmer for 30 minutes.
  3. In the last 5 minutes, add 1/4 pound fresh sliced mushrooms and chopped green onions for garnish.
  4. Serve the beef and mushroom mixture over pasta, garnished with green onions.
