Ingredients

  • 2 lb. stew beef, cubed
  • 1 can cream of celery soup
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup beer
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 can sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 bay leaves

Instructions

  1. Brown the stew beef and sliced onion in a skillet.
  2. Stir in the cream of celery soup, beer, pepper, sliced mushrooms, ketchup, and bay leaves.
  3. Pour the mixture into a baking dish.
  4. Cover and bake at 300°F (150°C) for about 2 hours.
  5. Serve over rice or noodles.
