Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. cooking oil
  • 1 1/2 lb. beef stew meat
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 2 onions
  • 1 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. Tabasco
  • 1 (3 oz.) can mushrooms
  • 1 can beer

Instructions

  1. Flour the beef stew meat and brown it in the cooking oil.
  2. Season the browned meat with black pepper, then remove and set aside.
  3. Cook the sliced onions in the Dutch oven until tender.
  4. Return the browned meat to the Dutch oven with the onions.
  5. Add the drained mushrooms, beer, and Tabasco sauce.
  6. Cover and simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours until the meat is tender.
