Ingredients

  • 1 lb. sausage
  • 3/4 c. onion, chopped
  • 3 c. Bisquick
  • 1 1/2 c. beer or water
  • 1 jar thick pizza sauce
  • 1 can mushrooms, drained
  • 1/2 c. sliced ripe olives, drained
  • 1 green pepper, diced
  • 2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. Grease a jelly roll pan.
  3. Cook and stir sausage and chopped onion in a 10-inch skillet until browned; drain excess fat.
  4. Mix Bisquick and beer until thoroughly moistened to form a batter.
  5. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan.
  6. Spread pizza sauce carefully over the batter.
  7. Top with sausage mixture, drained mushrooms, sliced olives, diced green pepper, and shredded Cheddar cheese.
  8. Bake until the crust is golden brown, about 30 minutes.
