Blue Crab Stuffing

Ingredients
- 1 lb. flaked blue crab meat ⓘ
- 2 slices bacon ⓘ
- 1/2 c. chopped onion ⓘ
- 1/2 c. chopped celery ⓘ
- 1/4 c. chopped bell pepper ⓘ
- 1 clove minced garlic ⓘ
- 2 c. crushed cracker crumbs
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 1/2 tsp. salt ⓘ
- 2 Tbsp. chopped parsley ⓘ
- dash of cayenne pepper ⓘ
- 1 beaten egg
- 1/4 c. milk ⓘ
- 1/2 c. melted margarine ⓘ
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce ⓘ
Instructions
- Remove remaining shell and cartilage from crab meat.
- Cook bacon until crisp; crumble and set aside.
- Saute chopped onion, celery, bell pepper, and minced garlic in bacon grease until tender.
- Mix crushed cracker crumbs, dry mustard, salt, chopped parsley, cayenne pepper, beaten egg, milk, melted margarine, Worcestershire sauce, and the sautéed vegetables.
- Fold in the flaked blue crab meat gently.
- Transfer mixture to a baking dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 25-30 minutes until heated through and golden on top.
