Ingredients

  • 6 apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1.5 cups whole cranberries
  • 0.5 cups chopped nuts
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 cups sugar
  • 0.5 cups brown sugar
  • 0.5 cups white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla
  • 0.5 cups melted butter
  • 1 cup flour

Instructions

  1. Grease a 9-inch pie pan or 8-inch square pan.
  2. Layer peeled and sliced apples in the pan.
  3. Alternate cranberries with the apple slices.
  4. Combine chopped nuts, cinnamon, salt, and 1/4 cup sugar, then sprinkle over the layered fruit.
  5. In a bowl, mix brown sugar, white sugar, eggs, vanilla, melted butter, and flour until well combined.
  6. Pour the batter over the fruit, spreading evenly to cover the top.
  7. Bake in a 325°F oven for 45 minutes or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
