Ingredients

  • 2 cups oatmeal
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 2 cups cream of wheat
  • 1 cup powdered skim milk
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 can chopped peaches, drained
  • 5 to 6 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup concentrated apple juice (frozen)
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/2 to 1 cup skim milk
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 to 1 cup raisins

Instructions

  1. Mix all dry ingredients, then add the liquid, leaving milk for last to give the right texture.
  2. Add raisins to the mixture.
  3. Pour the batter into glass baking dishes, filling them to a depth of 1/2 to 3/4 inch.
  4. Use a 9 x 13-inch and a 9 x 9-inch dish, or similar sizes.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake until done, approximately 30 to 40 minutes.
  6. Check for doneness by inserting a knife into the center; it should come out clean.
  7. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
