Ingredients

  • 1 large bunch broccoli
  • 1/8 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup mushrooms
  • 1 teaspoon grated onion
  • 1/8 cup flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup sharp grated Cheddar cheese
  • paprika

Instructions

  1. Cook broccoli until tender; drain and set aside.
  2. Saute mushrooms and grated onion in butter for 5 minutes.
  3. Add flour to the mushroom mixture, then gradually stir in milk, salt, and pepper. Cook until the sauce thickens.
  4. Place the cooked broccoli in a large baking dish.
  5. Pour the mushroom and cheese sauce over the broccoli.
  6. Sprinkle with grated Cheddar cheese and paprika.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
