Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 lb. cottage cheese
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 stick margarine or butter
  • 6 eggs, beaten
  • 2 lb. sausage, browned, drained and crumbled
  • 12 slices bread, cut into small pieces
  • 2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 8 to 10 eggs, beaten

Instructions

  1. Layer the browned, drained, and crumbled sausage, bread pieces, and Monterey Jack cheese in a greased 9 x 12-inch casserole dish, ending with cheese on top.
  2. Mix the beaten eggs, milk, and pepper; pour the mixture evenly over the layered ingredients.
  3. Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes to 1 hour until bubbly and slightly browned.
  4. Serve hot as a delicious brunch dish.
