Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/3 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • nuts
  • powdered sugar icing

Instructions

  1. Cream the brown sugar and margarine; add eggs and beat well.
  2. Mix flour, salt, soda, and baking powder.
  3. Add the dry ingredients alternately with sour cream to the creamed mixture.
  4. Add vanilla and nuts.
  5. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10 to 12 minutes.
