Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butter or margarine, divided
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/8 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 3/4 pounds medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 6 tablespoons fish stock
  • 3 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley
  • cooked rice or pasta

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt 1/2 cup of butter.
  2. Add chopped green onions, salt, minced garlic, cayenne pepper, white pepper, black pepper, dried basil, thyme, and oregano; stir well.
  3. Add the peeled and deveined shrimp; sauté until pink, about 1 minute, shaking the pan.
  4. Add sliced mushrooms, fish stock, and the remaining butter; cook until mushrooms are tender and sauce is heated through.
