Ingredients

  • 1 steak
  • 1 1/2 cups celery
  • 1 cup green onions
  • 1 cup carrots, sliced thin
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 cup beef bouillon
  • 2 heaping tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 can bean sprouts
  • 1 small can mushrooms

Instructions

  1. Partially freeze the steak to make it easier to slice thinly.
  2. Slice the steak thin while still partially frozen and then brown the slices in a skillet or wok.
  3. Add the celery, green onions, carrots, and garlic to the meat and stir-fry until vegetables are tender.
  4. Prepare the gravy by mixing beef bouillon, cornstarch, and soy sauce, then add this mixture to the stir-fry.
  5. Add more water if you want a thinner sauce or to extend cooking time.
  6. Stir in the bean sprouts and mushrooms with their juice, then simmer until flavors meld and vegetables are cooked through.
