Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup Crisco
  • 1 1/4 cups light brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 3 cups oatmeal
  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Combine Crisco, sugar, egg, milk, and vanilla in a large bowl. Mix at medium speed until well mixed.
  2. Add oats, flour, baking soda, and cinnamon to the mixture.
  3. Mix at low speed until well combined. Fold in nuts and raisins.
  4. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F for 10 to 12 minutes.
  6. Allow cookies to cool before serving.
