Ingredients

  • 1 broiler-fryer, cut into serving pieces
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. savory
  • 1/4 tsp. thyme
  • 1/2 c. lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika
  • 1 medium green pepper, cut in strips
  • 1/2 lb. mushrooms (optional)
  • 2 Tbsp. cooking oil
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 clove garlic (optional)
  • 1/2 c. water

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle the chicken with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet.
  3. Brown both sides of the chicken for 20 minutes.
  4. Add lemon juice, water, and herbs to the skillet.
  5. Cover and cook for 10 minutes.
  6. Add vegetables and cook covered for another 10 minutes or until tender.
