Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 3 large chicken breasts, split
  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 4 oz. spaghetti
  • 1 (4 oz.) can button mushrooms, drained
  • 1 (10.75 oz.) can condensed cream of celery soup
  • 1 tsp. marjoram
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 1 (1 lb.) can peas, drained

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, salt, and pepper; roll chicken breasts in this mixture.
  2. Brown the coated chicken breasts in shortening; remove from pan.
  3. Cook spaghetti until al dente.
  4. Brown the drained button mushrooms in the same skillet used for chicken.
  5. Add condensed cream of celery soup and marjoram; stir until smooth, then add sour cream.
  6. Place cooked spaghetti in a shallow casserole dish; add drained peas and half of the soup mixture; mix lightly.
  7. Arrange the browned chicken breasts on top of the spaghetti and peas, then cover with the remaining soup mixture.
  8. Cover the casserole and bake until heated through.
