Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 3 cubes chicken bouillon
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 cups cooked chicken
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 2 tablespoons pimiento

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, melt butter and add chicken bouillon cubes.
  2. Stir in flour and poultry seasoning. Gradually add milk and lemon juice, stirring constantly.
  3. Cook and stir over medium heat until the mixture thickens.
  4. Stir in cooked chicken, chopped celery, pimiento, and all but 2 tablespoons of chopped pecans.
  5. Heat the mixture thoroughly, ensuring all ingredients are well combined.
  6. Just before serving, top with the remaining chopped pecans.
