Chinese Hamburg
Chinese Hamburg combines savory ground beef with vegetables in a flavorful sauce, served over rice, perfect for a quick, hearty, and satisfying meal with Asian-inspired flavors.
Ingredients
- 2 onions, chopped ⓘ
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 4 stalks celery ⓘ
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 lb. ground beef ⓘ
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup ⓘ
- 1 can mixed Chinese vegetables, drained ⓘ
- soy sauce ⓘ
- parslied garlic salt
- 2 1/2 to 3 cups cooked rice ⓘ
- 1 can water chestnuts (optional) ⓘ
- 1 can sliced mushrooms (optional) ⓘ
Instructions
- Saute chopped onions, celery, and green pepper until tender.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, draining off excess fat.
- Stir in undiluted cream of mushroom soup, drained Chinese vegetables, and optional water chestnuts and sliced mushrooms.
- Sprinkle with soy sauce and garlic salt; mix well.
- Heat thoroughly, thinning with a little water or sherry if needed.
- Serve over cooked rice.
