Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 lb. beef
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • pepper
  • 1 c. soup stock
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. water
  • 1 c. green peppers
  • 1/2 tsp. fresh ginger

Instructions

  1. Heat a pan; add oil and crushed garlic.
  2. When garlic turns brown, remove it from the pan.
  3. Add beef cut in small, thin pieces and fry for a few minutes.
  4. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Add soup stock and cook for a few seconds.
  6. Mix cornstarch, soy sauce, and water to form a slurry, then add to the pan.
  7. Cook until the sauce thickens, stirring slowly.
  8. Add sliced green peppers and chopped ginger.
  9. Heat thoroughly and serve hot with rice.
