Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. plain flour
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda

Instructions

  1. Sift together the sugar and flour.
  2. In a saucepan, mix the margarine, oil, cocoa, and water.
  3. Bring the mixture to a rapid boil and pour over the sugar and flour mixture.
  4. Add the buttermilk, vanilla, eggs, salt, and soda, and mix well.
  5. Spray a long pan with cooking spray and bake at 350°F for 25 minutes or until done.
