Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 can yellow whole kernel corn, drained

Instructions

  1. Saute onion and green pepper.
  2. Brown beef in a skillet.
  3. Add tomato soup, water, drained corn, salt, pepper, and chili powder.
  4. Mix well and simmer for 15 minutes.
  5. Pour into a greased 9 x 13-inch casserole or pan, filling it three-quarters full, leaving room for the cornbread topping.
