Ingredients

  • 8 slices fresh bread
  • 2 cups crab meat
  • 5 tablespoons dehydrated onion
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup slivered almonds
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
  • 4 beaten eggs
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 can mushroom soup
  • Almonds for topping

Instructions

  1. In a 9 x 13-inch Pyrex pan, place half of the cubed bread as the first layer.
  2. Mix crab meat, dehydrated onion, mayonnaise, slivered almonds, chopped celery, and chopped green pepper.
  3. Spread the crab mixture over the bread layer.
  4. Add the remaining cubed bread on top of the crab mixture.
  5. Cover and refrigerate overnight to allow flavors to meld.
