Ingredients

  • 2 squares chocolate
  • 2/3 cup cream or milk
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 tablespoons corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Melt the chocolate and milk over low heat, then add sugar, corn syrup, and flour.
  2. Cook to soft ball stage.
  3. Remove from heat and add butter.
  4. Let cool slightly, then add vanilla, baking powder, and chopped nuts.
  5. Beat until the mixture thickens.
  6. Pour into a greased pan and let cool before cutting into pieces.
