Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 can mushroom soup
  • 1 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 3 pounds lean ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons onion
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons catsup
  • 1 can crescent rolls

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients except the crescent rolls and press the mixture into a loaf pan.
  2. Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 1 1/2 hours.
  3. Allow to cool in the pan for 5 minutes.
  4. Drain off excess fat and invert the meatloaf onto a cookie sheet.
  5. Separate the crescent roll dough into 4 rectangles.
  6. Overlap slightly on a floured surface to form a large rectangle.
  7. Roll out the dough to 10 x 5 inches.
  8. Drape the rolled dough over the meatloaf.
  9. Trim any excess dough.
  10. Bake in a 325°F oven for 15 to 20 minutes until golden.
