Ingredients

  • 1 c. margarine, softened
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 c. regular oats
  • 1 c. crushed corn flakes
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. nuts
  • 3 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 c. vegetable oil
  • 1/2 c. coconut

Instructions

  1. Cream the margarine until smooth.
  2. Gradually add sugar and brown sugar, beating well at medium speed.
  3. Add the egg and beat well.
  4. Mix in the vegetable oil and vanilla extract.
  5. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt; add to the creamed mixture, mixing well.
  6. Stir in oats, crushed corn flakes, nuts, and coconut.
  7. Shape the dough into 1-inch balls and place on a cookie sheet.
  8. Flatten each ball with a fork.
  9. Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 15 minutes.
  10. Cool slightly before removing from the cookie sheet.
