Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups roast beef
  • 1/2 pound black pepper
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 package onion soup mix
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon steak sauce
  • 3 carrots
  • 2 celery stalks
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 1 onion
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup tomato juice

Instructions

  1. Cut the beef into pieces and brown them in a skillet.
  2. Slice the onion; dice the carrots and celery.
  3. Slice the green bell pepper into thin strips.
  4. Place the sliced onion, carrots, celery, and bell pepper into the bottom of the crock-pot.
  5. Sprinkle the beef pieces with pepper, minced garlic, and onion soup mix.
  6. In a small bowl, mix the steak sauce, Worcestershire sauce, 1/2 cup water, and 1/2 cup tomato juice.
  7. Pour this mixture over the meat and vegetables in the crock-pot.
  8. Cook on low heat for 7 to 9 hours.
  9. Remove the meat and vegetables when done and thicken the sauce with a cornstarch or flour mixture.
