Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. flank steak
  • 1 1/2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 large green pepper
  • salt
  • pepper
  • olive oil

Instructions

  1. Slice the flank steak into strips 1/2 inch thick by 2 inches long.
  2. Place the beef strips in a pressure cooker and add enough water to cover them.
  3. Close the lid and cook on high pressure until steam comes out.
  4. Put the cap on the lid and lower the heat to medium.
  5. Cook over medium heat for 20 minutes.
  6. Meanwhile, slice the large onion and green pepper.
  7. In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté the onions and green peppers until tender.
  8. Add the tomato sauce, salt, and pepper to the skillet and simmer for a few minutes.
  9. Once the beef is cooked, shred it with a fork and mix with the sauce and vegetables.
  10. Serve hot, garnished as desired.
