Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 (24 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
  • 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 2 (16 oz.) cans kidney beans
  • 1 (8 oz.) can mushrooms
  • 2 stalks celery, sliced thin
  • 1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
  • 4 cups dry macaroni

Instructions

  1. Saute ground beef and chopped onion until lightly browned.
  2. Add stewed tomatoes, tomato sauce, kidney beans, and mushrooms.
  3. Cook macaroni; drain and add to the mixture.
  4. Parboil sliced celery and chopped green pepper for 5 minutes, then add to the dish.
  5. Season to taste and simmer gently until heated through.
  6. Serve hot; great reheated!
