Tips & Substitutions

For a crunchier slaw, consider using a food processor to grate the cabbage and vegetables. Adjust the heat by varying the amount of red pepper based on your spice preference. You can also add other vegetables like celery or radishes for added flavor and texture.

Serving Suggestions

Dick Howell Slaw is excellent alongside grilled meats or as a topping for sandwiches. Serve it with fried chicken or BBQ for a delightful contrast. For a unique twist, pair it with French Mint Tea to balance the flavors. This slaw can also be enjoyed on its own as a light lunch or as part of a picnic spread.

Storage & Reheating

Store the sealed jars of slaw in a cool, dark place for up to one year. Once opened, keep the slaw in the refrigerator and consume within a week.
