A hearty, flavorful beef dish wrapped in foil, slow-cooked with tangy lemon, mustard, and onions for tender, savory goodness perfect for family dinners or gatherings.

Ingredients

  • Chuck
  • Brown sugar
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • Lemon
  • Onion
  • Mustard
  • Butter
  • Salt

Instructions

  1. Slap the steak on a large piece of foil in a shallow pan. Scrub the steak with lemon so it absorbs rind flavor.
  2. Spread mustard on both sides of the steak, then gently fold the foil around the meat.
  3. Brown the meat on both sides under the broiler.
  4. Remove the meat and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  5. Pour lemon juice over the meat.
  6. Dab Worcestershire sauce and brown sugar on the meat, then add Tabasco.
  7. Add the browned onions in butter to the foil-wrapped meat.
  8. Fold the foil over the meat and seal with a double fold.
  9. Bake in a 300°F oven for 3 hours.
  10. Remove from oven, place on a platter, and serve quickly.
