Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 2 c. celery, chopped
  • 3 c. raw rice
  • 1 lb. hot sausage
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 c. green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Bring 8 cups of water and 1 tablespoon of salt to a boil.
  2. Add the rice and cover.
  3. Bring back to a full boil.
  4. Turn off the heat and leave covered on the burner for 30 minutes.
  5. Sauté the hamburger and hot sausage until cooked through.
  6. Sauté the chopped green pepper, celery, and green onions.
  7. Combine the cooked meat and vegetables with the cooked rice.
  8. Serve and enjoy!
