Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 2 medium onions, sliced
  • 1 large green pepper, sliced
  • 3 Tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (16 oz) can tomatoes
  • 1 small jar sliced olives with liquid
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 to 2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 2 to 3 tsp chili powder
  • small egg noodles, uncooked

Instructions

  1. Cook ground beef, sliced onions, and sliced green pepper in cooking oil until meat crumbles and vegetables are tender.
  2. Add tomato sauce, canned tomatoes, sliced olives with liquid, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and chili powder to the beef mixture.
  3. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
  4. Add 2 1/2 to 3 cups of uncooked small egg noodles to the mixture and stir well.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased 2-quart casserole dish.
  6. Cover and bake at 350°F for 1 hour until bubbly and cooked through.
