Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3 cups applesauce
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 cup raisins or chopped dates
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Stir together dry ingredients well, including sugar.
  2. Mix applesauce, eggs, oil, raisins and nuts; stir into dry ingredients.
  3. Mix only until blended.
  4. Pour into lined muffin cups, filling each half full.
