Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 c. chopped onions
  • 3/4 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
  • 1 (16 oz.) can Brooks hot chili beans
  • 1 to 2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 bay leaf
  • macaroni (if wanted)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, brown the ground beef, onions, and green pepper until vegetables are tender; drain off fat.
  2. Stir in tomatoes, beans, salt, chili powder, and bay leaf.
  3. Cover and simmer for 1 hour.
  4. Remove the bay leaf.
  5. Serve piping hot.
