Ingredients

  • 8 chicken drumsticks
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 3 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 1 (1 pound) can tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery seed

Instructions

  1. Dust the chicken drumsticks with seasoned flour.
  2. Melt butter in a large, heavy frying pan with a tight-fitting cover.
  3. Brown the chicken over medium heat on all sides.
  4. Drain on absorbent paper.
