Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 c. shortening
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 2 c. white sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 2 c. oatmeal
  • 1 c. coconut
  • 2 c. cornflakes
  • 1 c. chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Blend well the butter, shortening, and sugars.
  2. Add beaten eggs and vanilla, then mix in the sifted flour, baking powder, and soda.
  3. Add oatmeal, coconut, nuts, and cornflakes last to keep them crispy.
  4. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a cookie sheet.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 12 to 15 minutes.
