- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter, then add sugar, blending well.
- Set aside to cool.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
- Blend flour and baking powder together, then add to the mixture.
- Add vanilla and chopped nuts, making sure to blend thoroughly.
- Spread batter into a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
- Bake at 350°F for approximately 30 minutes.
- Check with a cake tester to ensure it is completely baked.
- While still warm, cut into squares and dust with confectioners sugar.
